Banksgate Galway Girl took the Fell Pony Championship at Loweswater Show on Sunday. Galway Girl continued her impressive performance in the show ring to secure her third consecutive Championship of the season.

Banksgate Galway Girl took the Fell Pony Championship at Weardale Show retaining the title which she took at this show in 2009.

Banksgate Galway Girl, who enjoyed tremendous success in the show ring as a filly, has now entered her first year competing in mare classes. She has matured beautifully and this was reflected in her success at Brough Show where she took the Championship.

Banksgate Brando by Banksgate Jackdaw won the colt foal class and went on to take the Foal Championship at this year's Breed Show. Brando is out of our wonderful mare, Townend Candytuft II and is a full brother to Banksgate Aisling and Banksgate Vember. This trio then secured a prestigious victory in the mare progeny class winning the Henry Wales Cup for their dam.

The current Fell Pony Stallion Show Youngstock Champion, Banksgate Johnny Doran, attended his second show of the year at Gilsland in County Durham. He repeated his success again taking the Youngstock Championship and then went one better to become Reserve Overall Champion in the fell classes.
